MT40 earth monitoring system

The MT40 system is an advanced grounding monitoring device intended for use on road tankers, rail tank cars, IBCs, metal drums, and FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) known as "Big Bags". It is crucial in preventing the build-up of electrostatic charges during loading and unloading, which is important for safety in potentially explosive environments.

It consists of a ground monitor with LED display, a flexible spiral cable from 1.5 m to 10 m in length and a clamp that provides a connection to ground. The MT40 monitor meets SIL2, ATEX and IECEx safety standards, which guarantees its reliability in difficult conditions. It is equipped with an RS485 serial port, enabling remote access to diagnostic information and system operation statistics.

The MT40 monitors the impedance between the tank and the ground point, ensuring that it does not exceed a threshold resistance of 10 Ω. It is equipped with a special relay output that allows you to control loading/unloading operations depending on the monitoring status. The LED display provides immediate information about the system's operating status, including readiness, proper grounding, loading/unloading approval, and any problems with the grounding or safety circuit.
